ARALUEN - Botanic Park II

Yay - it is spring in WA and you can see, feel and smell it!
Yeah - not much to say to these pic's. Enjoy probably - or "Let flowers speak".

Hm would not have recognised this as tulips...

Aren't they beautiful. And polite - strange to say that about an flower - but still.

Looks like perfect for an elegant home or wedding.

A tulip-tree I believe.

Isn't it pretty.

If that is a little Cherry tree?

If Cherry Blossom (sakura) in Japan will be like this? Will I make it to Japan next Spring? I wanna be there in March 2009. You can view it from Jan to June depending on the region.

ARALUEN - Botanic Park

Sunday I caught the train from Maylands to Armadale. Armadale is ca. 30km from Perth on the feet of the Darling Range. Spontaneous recommended by the Tourist Information I went on a 10km trip to Araluen right in the Range.
This Beauty landed to my feet right when I came out of the train station.

Along the way I came across this stunning piece of Botanic.

They grow all over New Zealand wherever it's wet and shallow.

A sunny Sunday is all over the world a good reason to get out HIS favourite toy and go for a cruise.

Ah, what a Beauty. You gotta love it...

Man what was that a good feeling to finally arrive at the Park! Mountain up, Hill down. Totally out of breath, when I was finally there! But oh how sweet - the triumph to have made it. I strongly believe, that I was the one and only cyclist there on that day! No car-drive will understand the proud feeling of wining the battle and be there - by the power of your own strength. Made the 10km in an hour which good for me.

At the moment it is Tulip-Festival in Araluen. For $10 you can walk all over the park as long as you want. Be astonished by the flowers and have a great picnic if you where clever enough to bring a biiig ice-box full of goodies with you. I had yummy stuff in my backpack so that was good.

It goes on and on and on...

In all possible kinds.

How lovely is that?

Mix it. Nice one - I do think.

Up the Swan river...

Yay, so I went up the river. Rivers - they are kind of life-giving aren't they?! So much is going on alongside them.
Just a random look.

Cool isn't it? Pioneers (Pfadfinder) setting up there boats for a turn with the towers of the city as background.

Just one of Perth many Yacht-clubs...

The par of a golf-club, with a Dive-bird drying it's feathers in the sun.

Yeah show of and try to produce the biggest wave.

Busy on this beautiful weekend.
I do not even know the name of the game. The ball is roughly bigger than a golf ball and you catch it with nets on a stick... ? O_o

RRRRRRRRRR Boy's go for it!

Looks nice - don't it?!

Tried an artsy shoot here.

In the middle of the city, but it does not look like it. Looks like in the middle of lonely nature.

Ah, there are other people out there. Kind of reassuring actually.

A band of sand going out into the river. Considering it know it's a shame, that I did not went for a stroll.

Holiday. It's right out there if you bother to set up the right accessories and create atmosphere.

Down the shore and up the Swan river

Yay! I rented a bike (pushbike ;) for the weekend and made big tours on Saturday and Sunday!
Saturday I took the train from Maylands to Cotteslohe and cycled from Cotteslohe down to Fremantle and all the way up from Fremantel to Maylands. A looong and truly beautiful trip.
Aren't they cute? Don't you wish your little ones would get along as good as these to do?

Particular interesting, a few meters next to it on a slide a big brother and his little sister had a scream fight. Must be so awkward to be the mother of the misbehaving ones if there is a couple which gets along perfectly fine.

A walk with the dog is a walk, is a walk, is a walk - but it can be so much more!

What a look out! From Cotteslohe down the coastline to Fremantle.

Bridges a magical points. Don't know why.

Yeah, just a little one - but still nice enough!

Looks like big holiday, but if you life at the right spot it is just another nice weekend.

Aren't they gorgeous?

Yay, throwing sand at each other can be so much fun! (Never liked it.) But those two had a great time and it did not end in tears rare enough.

Bacardi Feeling.

SAND DUNES LANCERLIN WA

At the end of our glorious day trip we went to the Sand dunes near Lancerlin, which was great fun! Amazing even if I have to say, that I liked the dunes in NZ better! They where kind of mystical, kind of special, cause you can only enter them by feet (+board). In Lancerlin everybody is cruising along in 4WDrive, or on motorbikes and stuff it is kind like a big sandpit for kids. Which is of course fun.

Yay! Looks like a battle field doesn't it? I wanna play Nightrider!

That's Led our 4WDrive-Guide. He is sooo cool. I love him cause he let me sit in front with him which is a so much better experience than sitting in the back.

The view from the top of one of the dunes. Love it! Love it! Love it!

When you driving in the sand you let half of the air out of your tires so that they lay with more on the sand. You also never ever brake, you let you vehicle run out if ya wanna stop.

No Water left and miles and miles and miles to civilisation. Ah imagination! Wanna shoot a movie right here.

Yay, our truck! Looks like the Daddy of my ex-car. Schnueff! Baby I do miss you so much. I actually wanted to ship him over but it was to expensive...

Sexy! Hot guy, hot bike, hot day! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Our Tour Guide. Cool guy. Used to do Tours in Africa. until his Travel-Accident. His Travel Accident is three years old now. He loves him and would not take off without him Sweet Story, eh?

Hahaha. One of the Japanese guys. So much fun! He loved the boarding. Had sand all over him. EVERYWHERE! (No of course I did not check.) Here he is posing for his Lady.

She is a cutie and loved the fun - so exited.
